Bristol DevOps – Docker

Rob Haswell will be telling us all about his Flocker project, deploying with Docker & Fig and share his experiences with containers in general.
Andy Gale also plans to introduce some new Chef tools which compliment Docker and streamline your workflow.

Lead developer for the software company Epimorphics Ltd, Dr Ian Dickinson will give a talk on the user experience of open data, the challenges faced and how we can begin to address them. Ian has worked with many clients to create open, accessible and understandable datasets for bespoke applications.

South West Founders meetup

This October meetup combines a Q&A session with a little launch party for their mentor programme.

8pm will celebrate the launch of the first ever Ladies that UX Mentor Programme! A wonderful way to end the evening.

PHPSW – Lightning Talks

PHPSW bring something new to the table this month, by hosting an evening of 5-10 minute lightning talks. The Pitch Final

The Pitch Final is the dramatic ending to’s small business competition and you can come along too! This event will bring together the 30 finalists to compete in front of a live audience for the title of The Pitch 2014 champion. Women Who Code Bristol – Hack night launch: Coding in the cloud

This Hack Nigh launch is an opportunity to discover more about working with software in the cloud from some of the team at JUST EAT and AWS. Come along, deploy some code and relax with a drink and some food.

BristolJS – Making a text particle system with canvas
