Previously known as BRUG, Bristol Ruby is a meetup event ran by passionate Ruby on Rails developers, for anyone and everyone with an interest in Ruby.  It is an opportunity for people to develop their knowledge and get to know other people who share a love for the language. Bristol Ruby is a workshop, held in our very own office in Southville and aims to be hands-on, fun and give people the opportunity to learn. From those with curiosity about Ruby, to well-experienced developers, anyone is welcome.

For the first workshop we are aiming to show you how to develop your own Ruby quiz, by teaching you the basics of Alexa Skills. We bought our own Amazon Echo and Amazon Dot and started experimenting with Alexa Skills and we are eager to share with you our knowledge.

All you need is a laptop, a notebook and we will provide the rest, including food and drinks. We only have a few tickets left, so grab yours whilst they’re available.

If you’re a student, we have 2 free tickets up for grabs for the Bath Ruby conference. Join us at the workshop, show us your student ID and you’ll be in with a chance to win one of the tickets!

For our first workshop, we would like to teach the basics of Alexa Skills and allow you to develop your own Ruby quiz using this new technology. A few days before the workshop, we will send you a link …
