March has been another busy one here at CookiesHQ – we learnt some things at the Smart Cookies Breakfast Club, a new Cookie joined us and we launched a brand new website for a client. Let’s take a look at what’s been happening…
Tips, tricks and tools to help you master the ART of SEO
The fantastic Jon Payne (Technical Director – Noisy Little Monkey) joined the first Smart Cookies Breakfast Club of the month to share his top tips on mastering the ART of SEO.
ART stands for Architecture, Relevance and Tech. He took us through how your website’s architecture should be optimised, the process you can follow to make your content super relevant to your potential customer when they search, and how to check and improve your tech stack to ensure Google loves your site.

Recruiting in tech: the good, the bad and the ugly
Then, last Friday, Iain Blair (MD, Revoco) hosted to take us through the good, the bad and the ugly of hiring tech talent.
There is very little Iain hasn’t seen in the tech talent world – his experience in agency recruitment and in running in-house (outsourced) talent functions has given him the full spectrum of what success looks like. He offered up a snapshot of how to successfully attract and hire talent in 2021 and some simple do’s and don’ts.
Next session: Friday 23rd April
Friday 23rd April – 8.30am
You know that you and your team are great at what you do. You know the product or service your business offers is exceptional. The problem is, you’re having trouble getting the word out.
In this Smart Cookies session, Rin Hamburgh, founder of copywriting agency Rin Hamburgh & Co, will be looking at the 7 types of content industry experts create and share to build their business reputation, and answering your questions about how to be seen as an expert.
This Is The Want's new site is live!
Back in October 2020, we ran a discovery session with the entire This Is The Want team led by Max Richardson. They had an existing product – a WordPress & WooCommerce site with ‘sticky-taped together’ functionality that had been built at speed as a proof of concept.
After a very successful 18 months of trading, the team were ready to invest in a product that was more robust, flexible and fit for purpose. And that’s where we come in! We’ve built a brand new bespoke platform that launched in late March to great feedback from client and users alike. Check out the new site (and the amazing giveaways they run!) →
